OMG what a night bodies in and out (I think most of the kids are now nursing a cold please please please do not let me get it!!!!!) and then waking up to Francesca pulling my eyelids up and saying wake up wake up I want to talk to you.....
LOL! My kids are so amazing... yesterday I was having a really rough day. You will laugh when I tell you what I was doing and how they knew I was blue. I went around singing that song I can face tommorrow because you live song(christian hymn).I didn't mean for anyone to know I was blue ,I really wasn't that sad just that the song was giving me comfort on a cold blue day. Well they called my husband and asked to him them buy me some new music (yes I adore music and it always makes me happy) and to shhh don't tell her. They found out what I wanted by asking me who I was really into lately. sneaky little people! So now I have a new album on the way I love them so much! Just thinking of what they did is making me feel so loved and delighted that they are my children.
Remember me mentioning I was going to be shooting a lot of babies. Well it didn't quite turn out that way. I was doing mini 5 min shoots at the Lighthouse harvest festival all proceeds going to the Sandwhich Food Pantry. Well they were pretty much were rained out. I think only about 6 families came through it was sad all the work that people put into it.
Here is a sample of one I tried to give them a soft vintage feel
I'll be back if they do it again next year. Though if I do next year I'm going to set up a larger set. I had planned on shooting individual children but everyone wanted family captures so they were a bit sad about that.
beautiful family :)
then the outtake which if this was my family this would be the canvas... I love real!
Of course if you want really real and really candid
and don't forget how it all started
and how it will end.... I never thought I would say it but it will be sweet when it's just Chris and I again. Of course we will miss the kids terribly but .... It's going to sooo much fun to just be us again too.
The weather lately has been so hard! Lots of shuffling going on because of the rain. It's been kind of nice though snuggling down. I love rainy days. I think because as a child the only time we were allowed to just hang out in the house was on rainy days (9kids and a fussy Dad is the reason my Mom made us stay out) and it just felt snuggly to me. I usually feel like cooking big fill your tummy dinners and desserts too on days like these. My family loves that!
Just a heads up I've had several people contact me in the last few days about doing a leaf session. I am not scheduling past Nov 18th.
curious what a fall leaf/beach session looks like?
here is a quickie slideshow for you
http://www.linenphotography.com/fall.htm
sadly I deleted their slideshow which I loved so I just threw this quickly together it's from last year.
Though I have some in the works I haven't done leaf/beach sessions yet this year.
This spot is fantastic lighting and it's going to be at it's peek in the next week or so
a couple images for those that can't see the slideshow
I captured the most fun family this weekend. A session that just totally refueled me. You know everyone I"ve ever shot has something special about them, really I mean that not just saying it. I truely love people and enjoy them, getting to know them but some people just make you laugh and look at life in a fresh lovely way again and that is how that shoot felt to me. Just a beautiful family....
Now I'm sure you want to see some but sorry I havent' even looked through them yet so I will share another lovely senior.
She has a lovely gentle personality,I really enjoyed shooting her. Only two for now still playing catch up with sessions. I am about 1 week behind deadlines I gave but am finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel as I've started turning down sessions for my winter refueling and training time so I will be have more free time to process my work.
I'm so excited over some of the new things I'm going to be training for. I never get tired of photography there is always sooo much more to know and learn. If you if you have ever seen chariots of fire and remember the scene when Eric Lindell says I believe that God made me for a purpose... He also made me fast, and when I run, I feel His pleasure." Well that is how I feel, such a joy when I'm with my families with who ever I'm photographing it's such a joy so much more then a job. I enjoy soooo much everything about it. (well except the business end,but luckily I'm going to be having some help in that area in the new year. Serious I wish I could just photograph for free,I'm such a right brained person half the time I forget to ask for my fee at sessions. I"m all about the capture.)
Another fun comment in an email this week end
"My friends are freaking out over those pics. as are we!!! my friend elizabeth said "I hate having my picture taken but that chick can do it ANYTIME. ha! awesome and ----'s mom is so impressed, last night she was talking about flying his lil sister up so u can do some senior pictures for her. We really had a blast working with ya and can't wait to see more... Im so impatient! hahaha! night!
I really really love when I get feed back it means so much to me to hear that people love their images and also that they had a great time during the shoot.
Some recent comments just a few for today I'll have to dig through my emails. I've been meaning to have a comment page on my website.
"We were just looking at our photos (yet again:) and your web site and we are just so happy that we were able to meet up with you and have you as our photographer. For us, it's unfortunate that you don't live in our area b/c we would hire you over and over again, so, if you do ever decide to take a
trip to New York & want to do a shoot while you're here, please let us know, we would love it!!!"

Just a few from this session,I haven't been able to process more. I'll add a few more favs soon.
Well here are the trouble makers... LOL! This couple is the reason I'm now doing wedding photography. I did a session of her daughter and then she asked if I would fly to Florida to shoot her wedding. I told her nope no way I don't do weddings. My husband was like WHAT!! someone wants to fly us to Florida in middle of a cold northeast March and you are saying no!!! So my husband I started thinking it would be fun to do destination weddings and to be honest the more involved I'm getting with wedding photography the more I'm excited to just do weddings! It's so stinkin cool to be a part of the start of brand new thing and I'm a die heart romantic at heart.
Sadly he is military and is going to now be gone for 5 months(how do the familes do it I just don't know!!!) so plans have changed but I'm excited they still wanted me to do a love story session for them.
They wanted a super fun modern feel to their shoot and I hope they feel I succeeded for them. Anyway I had a lot of fun!!! LOL!
another bw or color???
this one might be hard to see at this size but I just love how beautiful she looks and how he's looking at her.
